Google now writes an AI summary above the results for many searches. On the 26 keywords we track for you, five of those searches carry one, and Frontline Security is named inside two of them: "new zealand security guards" and "wellington security guards".
Both are non-branded commercial searches, the kind a business uses when it is choosing a security provider and does not yet know who you are. You can check it yourself: search either phrase and read the summary Google writes at the top.
Four other security companies are cited alongside you in each of those answers, and you are one of the five. That is a real position to hold, and it is the ground the next few years get won on.
Every number traces to a named source: Search Console and GA4 pulled 2 September 2026, a live Google NZ rankings check the same day, Ahrefs, and your SEO Work sheet.
Checked live on Google New Zealand, 2 September 2026. Of your 26 tracked keywords, 23 rank in the top 50, 16 are on page one, 6 are in the top three and 2 are at number 1.

Sixteen of twenty-six on page one is a strong position, and it covers both the Auckland and the national terms.
Organic enquiries climbed from 9 to 11 a month through mid-2025 to a peak of 17 in April 2026. That is the number that matters most, because it is the one that turns into work.
Search clicks fell 32.7% between May and August. We ran the diagnostic properly, and this one is unusually clear.
| Month | Clicks | Impressions | Click-through rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| June 2026 | 307 | 31,666 | 0.97% |
| July 2026 | 250 | 24,406 | 1.02% |
| August 2026 | 249 | 25,068 | 0.99% |
Your click-through rate has barely moved (1.01%, 0.97%, 1.02%, 0.99% across May to August). People who see you in the results click at exactly the same rate they always have. What changed is how often Google shows you: impressions fell 31.9% over the same period, almost exactly in step with clicks.
That tells us this is a visibility question rather than the AI-answer effect other businesses are seeing, and it is a different problem with a different fix: getting the site shown for more searches again. August itself was stable, with impressions up slightly on July.

| Move | Why it matters |
|---|---|
| Build on the AI citations you already have | You are named in two AI answers today. The way to be in more is content that answers the questions buyers actually ask about hiring security, written to be quotable. This is the highest-value work available. |
| Recover the impressions | Being shown 32% less often than in May is the specific thing to reverse, and it is a content and technical question rather than a rankings one. |
| The near-miss keywords | Four terms sit at position 4 and two at 5. Those are the cheapest wins on the board. |
| More content, not more links | We are changing how authority gets built: winding down monthly volume link building (1,297 links built since 2021) and putting that effort into content instead. |
